Starting Points exhibition

My original idea came from the technique of hand stitching monoprinted cotton. Having completed several small pieces of work in this way, I then developed the theme of City Garden in the technique of 'faux chenille' using a commercially woven double ikat cotton. I'm also developing some work using shibori patchwork which is an idea that the original composition suggested to me.
