Starting Points exhibition

Road to the Isles is an amalgam of several photographs of hills, mountains and forests taken on a car journey to Skye.

I have used various techniques, some for the first time.

The background is painted pelmet vilene with painted tissutex, lutradur and bondaweb then painted and melted kunin felt was stitched on top. Machine and hand stitching is being used to finish the project.

Road to the Isles is the largest of a series of framed pieces on the same theme using the same techniques.
