Pamela WestwickArtist's statementI have been interested in textiles and embroidery since schooldays, which led to my attendance at Telford College. On completion of the course, I was employed as a Textile Craft Tutor by various Community Education groups in the Lothians. Since achieving my City & Guilds qualification I have exhibited in galleries throughout Scotland and am a member of VAS. The fundamentals of my work are colour and texture. Currently I am utilizing paper - painted, printed and embellished with acrylics, inks, metallic threads, wire and beads. I am fascinated by eastern cultures which exude colour, richness and mystery in fabrics, tiles jewellery and architecture. |
